National Gallery of Ireland: Your Gallery at School Programme

Your Gallery at School
Deadline for entries: January 11 2026
Applications are now open for Your Gallery at School, an ambitious outreach programme that brings the National Gallery of Ireland directly into classrooms and education settings around the country. Your Gallery at School gives young people an opportunity to connect with the national collection through exciting art-making projects designed to complement the education curriculum and spark creativity.
Your Gallery at School aims to address a number of identified barriers to engagement with the National Gallery of Ireland and in some cases, the arts more broadly. These include, but are not limited to, geographical, gender, and socio-economic barriers. The National Gallery of Ireland is a civic space, and they wish to promote a sense of shared ownership of, and interest in, our national collection.
How it works:
Your Gallery at School operates nationwide and is open to primary and secondary level schools and alternative education settings. Chosen groups will be paired with an artist facilitator who will travel to your location.
All projects will include:
- A virtual introduction session
- Art making workshops at your location (delivered over one week)
- Art materials
- Post project opportunities
