Creative Ireland programme and Oide Creativity have announced a series of professional development summer workshops for teachers to support engagement with the arts and learning.

Creative Workshops include:

Plein Air Painting – acrylic painting workshop in collaboration with painter Sheila Richardson
Dates: Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th June 2026
Time: 10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (both days)
Venue: Hunt Museum, Rutland St, Prior’s-Land, Limerick, V94 EV8A

Writing for the Stage and Screen – in collaboration with award-winning screenwriter and theatre director Jeda de Brí.
Available in Dublin and Cork

Let’s Dance – in collaboration with acrobat and circus performer Danae Wollen and dance artist Aoibhinn O’Dea

Venue: Draíocht, The Blanchardstown Centre, Co. Dublin, D15 RYX6

Creative Critiquing – A text to performance workshop in collaboration with the Abbey Theatre and Phil Kingston.
Dates: Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th June 2026
Times: Day 1 Workshop 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Performance of The Whiteheaded Boy at the Abbey Theatre 7:30 p.m.
Day 2 Workshop 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Venues: Drumcondra Education Centre, DCU St. Patrick’s Campus, Dublin and Abbey Theatre, 26 Lower Abbey St., Dublin

Hands-On Ceramics – Processes, Surface Design and Kiln Care in collaboration with Kinsale Pottery and ceramist Adrian Wistreich
