TADA! Exhibition Coming to Riverbank Arts Centre, Kildare

Kids’ Own is delighted to announce that TADA! — a curated archival exhibition celebrating 28 years of collaborative book-making projects with children and young people is coming to Riverbank Arts Centre in Kildare on September 6th 2025. This follows its most recent showing at Ballina Civic Centre, bringing the creativity, cultural rights, and stories of diverse young communities to new audiences.

Over almost three decades, Kids’ Own has worked collaboratively with children across Ireland, asking questions, sparking curiosity, and giving space for their ideas to grow. TADA! was originally developed by a group of young people through online workshops with Kids’ Own Associate Artist and curator Vanya Lambrecht Ward. Drawing from our rich archive of original art, writing, and publications, they identified four main themes — play, people, place, and pondering — and selected work reflecting these ideas.

The exhibition features a vibrant mix of framed and unframed portraits and landscapes in drawing, print, collage, and painting; large sculptural cardboard cut-outs; and handmade books from Kids’ Own’s earliest collaborations. Interactive spaces invite visitors to explore portraiture, printmaking, collage, and reading, offering a hands-on experience for all ages.

By touring TADA! to venues nationwide, Kids’ Own continues its mission to ensure children’s creativity is visible and valued in public cultural spaces, and to share the voices and visions of young people with communities across Ireland.
