Arts Council’s Creative Schools Scheme: More than one hundred and fifty schools and youth centres join the scheme
More than one hundred and fifty schools and youth centres join Arts Council’s Creative Schools scheme. The Arts Council has announced that 156 schools and Youthreach centres across Ireland have joined its Creative Schools programme, and for the first time this year, 10 schools in hospital settings will join the programme.

The Ark are inviting schools to join actor and singer Wren Dennehy for a songwriting workshop exploring storytelling, improvisation and acting through song. Using the Snow Sculptors as inspiration, together we will write and perform an original song in a fun and collaborative environment.

As I reflect on the event, I come away feeling both confident and proud. Proud of the work we are doing in National Arts in Education. Proud of the direction of curriculum reform, where creativity is no longer sitting at the edge of the conversation but is becoming embedded within it.
