At this Baboró event, attendees will share reflections from the recent ASSITEJ Artistic Gathering in Marseilles. Presented in partnership with Theatre for Young Audiences Ireland (TYAI), this session offers insights into global practice and exchange. Now in its 29th year, Baboró International Arts Festival for Children brings world-class performances to Galway from 10 – 19 October 2025.

ASSITEJ International unites festivals, theatres and individuals throughout the world who make performances for children. It is a global organisation dedicated to the artistic, cultural and educational rights of children and young people across the globe and advocates on behalf of all children regardless of nationality, cultural identity, ethnicity or religion. ASSITEJ International brings people together so that they can share knowledge and practice within the field of Theatre and Performing Arts for Children & Young People in order to deepen understandings, develop practice, create new opportunities and strengthen the global sector, on behalf of children everywhere.

Theatre for Young Audiences Ireland (TYAI) is the national centre of ASSITEJ International in Ireland. Some of the attendees at the ASSITEJ Artistic Gathering in Marseilles earlier this year reflect on their experience.
