Tralee Education Centre

The Education Centre, Tralee is a statutory body funded by the Department of Education Skills. It is a member of the network of thirty Education Centres nationally, which acts as a strategic resource for the Department. The Centre provides services for schools, teachers, parents, boards and other relevant persons which support them in carrying out their functions in respect of the provision of education which is recognised for that purpose by the Minister. The centre, with its sister centres in Tarbert and Ionad Oideachais Chorca Dhuibhne, provides Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for teachers and school communities. The centre supports educational change at national, regional and local level in various ways. With reference to the Arts Curriculum, the centre’s strategy promotes innovative and enriched arts practice in school communities, the upskilling of teachers at primary & post-primary levels and building the capacity in our schools to deliver enriching and enhancing arts experiences for students.
The Education Centre Tralee is the Arts in Education administrative base for all 21 full time ATECI Education Centres.
