IFI Schools Programme for 2026/2027

The IFI Schools Programme for 2026/2027 is now live.

In this programme teachers and schools will find a brand new selection of Modern Foreign Language (MFL) titles for both Junior and Senior Cycle, English Prescribed Texts, and films to support a broad range of curricular topics and themes, including Gaeilge, History, Music, Physical Education and more.

From Modern Foreign Languages, History, Prescribed Texts and more, IFI@Schools helps teachers bring curriculum‑aligned films into the classroom with confidence. Every film on the platform includes educational context and classroom licensing. Some also include teaching resources designed for schools across Ireland.

The IFI are delighted to partner again with #ThinkLanguages Week for 2026 with a celebration of language through film. This features new modern foreign language titles at partnering venues across the country.

IFI Next Generation

With thousands of young people making and watching films in their schools, libraries, youth clubs and homes, Ireland’s Next Generation Screen (15-19) sector is growing. IFI’s Next Generation Programme (15-19) Programme, funded by Screen Ireland, tracks sectoral progress through collaborations and partnerships, creating impactful film experiences for teenagers nationwide.

This includes careers events, opportunities to make connections with young people’s film groups, and the opportunity for students to join a youth panel.
